Stablecoin and Fiat Settlement

Pools lend and repay in stablecoins. The initial pools settle in PYUSD and USDT (Tether), which fixes the unit of account for deposits, interest, and withdrawals and keeps a lender's return denominated in a stable asset rather than a volatile one. A given pool settles in one designated asset — the settlement currency is fixed per pool and disclosed as one of that pool's parameters, not something a lender needs to infer.

Fiat on- and off-ramp support — allowing institutions that operate primarily in fiat to move into and out of the settlement stablecoin through bank rails at the edges of the protocol — is on the roadmap and not yet live. On-chain accounting will remain stablecoin-denominated throughout regardless of how capital enters or exits at the edges; the roadmap item is about the on/off-ramp convenience layer, not a change to how the protocol itself settles. Until this ships, institutions transacting on Quantix need to hold and move the settlement stablecoin directly.
